Time rounding in minutes
Any time entered in minutes is rounded to the office preference.
The choice of this rounding is made by the office, in the Preferences tab of the main menu and can be done by 3, 6, 12 or 15 minutes. This choice applies to all users.
The choice of this rounding then becomes the minimum time that can be entered for an activity when a user enters his time in minutes. Thus, a choice of rounding made at 15 minutes will have the impact that if an employee enters 10 minutes, the time that will appear will be automatically rounded to 15 minutes.
Why is the minimum rounding every 3 minutes?
In JurisEvolution, the smallest rounding of the time entered in minutes is every 3 minutes. The choice of the minimum rounding of the time to the 3 minutes is a corporate decision that aims to harmonize the time calculated in the statistical reports, among others.
Indeed, the rounding to the 3 minutes allows to ensure a correct representation of the time of each one, and this, considering the fact that each user can, at his convenience, choose to enter his time in hours or in minutes.
That said, time entry in hours is not subject to rounding. If rounding to 3 minutes is inconvenient for some users, they should prefer to enter their time in hours. Each user can configure his time entry format from his employee file. To do so, consult the following article: Enter time in hours or minutes
