Document Editor

What are the options in the Document Editor function of the PDF viewer?

Feature available for all editions of the software.

Before you begin: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.


Here are the different options available in the Document Editor function of the PDF viewer.


Document Editor


Allows you to edit the document.

The following window will appear:

This window displays a preview of all the pages in your document. The following operations are available:

New Page

Allows you to add a new blank page to the document.

Click the New Page button to add a blank page to the document.

The new page will appear at the beginning of the document if you have no page selected or if you have multiple pages selected.

If you have a page selected, the new page will appear after it.

Delete Pages

Allows you to delete pages from the document.

Select the page(s) you want to delete and click the Delete Pages button.

The selected page(s) will be deleted.

Duplicate

Allows you to duplicate the selected page(s).

Select the page(s) to duplicate and click on the Duplicate button.

The duplicated page will be displayed after the original selected page.

Rotate Left

Allows you to rotate the selected page(s) to the left.

Select the page(s) you want to rotate. Click on the Rotate Left button to rotate the page to the left.

The page(s) will be rotated to the left.

Rotate right

Allows you to rotate the selected page(s) to the right.

Select the page(s) you want to rotate. Click on the Rotate Right button to rotate the page to the right.

The page(s) will be rotated to the right.

Move

Allows you to move pages within the document.

Select the page(s) you want to more and click on the Move button.

Enter the page number after which you want the selected page to be moved. Then click Move.

The page will be moved after the one that was indicated.

Move Before

Allows you to move the selected page(s) before the preceding page.

Select the page(s) you want to move and click the Move Before button.

The page(s) will be moved one page closer to the beginning of the document.

Move After

Allows you to move the selected page(s) after the page that follows it.

Select the page(s) you want to move and click the Move After button.

The page(s) will be moved one page closer to the end of the document.

Import Document

Allows you to import a PDF document from your computer to attach it to your document.

Click on the Import Document button. Your web browser's file explorer will open. Only PDF files will be available.

Extract Pages

Allows you to download specific pages.

Select the pages you want to extract and click the Extract Pages button.

The selected page(s) will be compiled into a PDF file and immediately downloaded to your web browser.

Undo

Allows you to undo an action performed in the document editor.

Redo

Allows you to redo an action that was cancelled in the document editor.

The following options are available in the three dots menu

Select All

Allows you to select all pages in the document.

Select None

Allows you to deselect all selected pages in the document.

Zoom Out

Allows you to display a more comprehensive view of page previews.

Click Zoom Out to get a more comprehensive view of the page previews. Several zoom levels are available.

Zoom in

Allows you to display a closer view of page previews.

Click Zoom In to get a closer look at the page previews. Several zoom levels are available.

Cancel

Allows you to cancel all changes made in the document editor window.

Click the Cancel button to cancel the changes made to the document. The document editor window will also close.

Save As...

Allows you to save a copy of the modified document.

Click the Save As... button to download a copy of the PDF. The copy will automatically download to your web browser.

Save

Allows you to save changes made in the document editor window.

Click the Save button to save the changes made to the document. The document editor window will also close.


Document Crop


Allows you to crop the document.

The following interface will be displayed:

Click with your mouse to create a selection area.

You can adjust the cropping area using the blue dots that surround the area.

Select Crop Current Page to crop only the selected page.

Select Crop All Pages to apply the cropping area to all pages in the document.


Append a GDE document


Allows you to add PDF documents from your document management system to your PDF document.

A document selection window will open. Only documents saved in the matter and in PDF format will be displayed. It is only possible to add this type of document using this function.

Select the document you want to add and click on the black check mark at the top right corner to accept.

The PDF document will be added to the end of the document you are currently editing.
