Image tool

What are the options for the Image tool in the PDF viewer?

Feature available for all editions of the software.

Before you begin: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.


Here are the different options available for the Image tool in the PDF viewer.


Image


Allows you to add images to the document.

Add an image

Click on this button to open your computer's file explorer. Only available file types will be displayed in the selection (PDF, PNG, JPEG, etc.).

Select the image you want to add.

It will be added to the document like this in the middle of your current page:

Delete an image

Step 1: Select the image to delete.

Step 2: Click on the trash can icon in the top right corner.

Step 3: Click on Delete.

Available modifications for the image

Size

Use the dots to enlarge or shrink the image.

Orientation

When the image is selected, click on the two arrows to rotate the image.

Location

Click on the image and hold down the mouse button. Move the image to the desired location and then release the mouse button.

Opacity

You can adjust the opacity of the image using the menu located at the top left.

Note

Click the Note button to add a note to the image. Enter the text of the note in the small window that appears.

Click on the X to close the note.

Click on the trash can icon to delete the text of the note.

Note: Once added, you cannot delete the note icon, it is only possible to delete the entire image.


Stamp


Allows you to add a stamp to your document.

Add an existing stamp

Click on the existing stamp design of your choice.

The selected stamp will be added to the document.

Add a custom stamp

Click on Custom Stamp

The following information will be displayed in the custom stamp generator:

  1. Stamp preview

  2. Text to display in the stamp

  3. Date display option

  4. Time display option

  5. Color options

Once you have made your settings and are satisfied with the stamp in the preview, click Create Stamp. The custom stamp will be displayed in the document.

Delete a stamp

Step 1: Select the stamp to delete.

Step 2: Click on the trash can icon in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Click on Delete.

Available modifications for the stamp

Size

Use the dots to enlarge or shrink the stamp.

Orientation

Use this point to rotate the stamp.

Location

Click on the stamp and hold down the mouse button. Move the stamp to the desired location and then release the mouse button.

Opacity

You can adjust the opacity of the image using the menu located at the top left.

Note

Click the Note button to add a note to the stamp. Enter the text of the note in the small window that appears.

Click on the X to close the note.

Click on the trash can icon to delete the text of the note.

Note: Once added, you cannot delete the note icon, it is only possible to delete the stamp.


Link


Allows you to add a link in your document.

The following interface will be displayed:

  1. Border color

  2. Opacity

  3. Thickness

Border color

Select the color of the link border. By default, the link border is transparent.

Opacity

You can adjust the opacity of the border using the menu at the top left.

Thickness

You can adjust the thickness of the border using the menu at the top left.

Add a link

Hold down the mouse button and create a rectangular area where you want to add a link.

Enter the link settings in the pop-up box that appears. You can enter a web address or redirect to a page in the document.

Select an existing link

When you hover over the link, this small pop-up window will appear.

Click and hold (two seconds) with your mouse on the existing link to select it.

Note: If you click too quickly, the link will open.

Available modifications for the link

When the link is selected, this window will appear. Click Edit.

You can then change the link settings.

Delete a link

When the link is selected, click on the trash can icon in the upper right corner.

Click on Delete.
