Content editor function

What options are available in the PDF viewer's content editor?

Feature available for all editions of the software.

Before you begin: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.


The content editor allows you to edit, add and delete text fields in the document.

The following options will be available when adding and editing the text field:

Color

Font

Size

Use the drop-down menu to select the font size or enter a specific number in the field.

Bold

Italic

Delete

Deletes the text field


Add a text field


Step 1: Click on the following icon to add a text field.

Step 2: The click where you want to add a text field in the document.

Step 3: Add your text.


Modify a text field


Step 1: Double-click in the text field you want to edit. Editable text fields will be outlined with a dotted line.

Step 2: Modify the text.

Note: A small warning icon may appear when editing text if the font used is not available. A default font will be applied to added of modified content.


Move a text field


Step 1: Select the field you want to move and hold down the left mouse button.

Step 2: Move the field to the desired location and release the mouse button.

Note: If a comment, highlight, drawing, etc. has been applied to the text field to be moved, only the text field will be moved.


Delete a text field


Step 1: Select the text field you want to delete.

Step 2: Click on the trash can icon.

Step 3: Click on Delete.

Note: If a comment, highlight, drawing, etc. has been applied to the text field to be deleted, only the text field will be deleted.


Saving or canceling changes


You can save or cancel your changes at any time.

Click Save & Close to save the changes you have made with the content editor.

Click Cancel to cancel your changes.
