Feature available for all editions of the software.
Before you begin: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.
Some features are available when text is highlighted with the mouse in the PDF viewer.
Text highlighting
Allows you to highlight the selected text.
Click on the annotation to change its settings in the menu that appears.
Strikethrough
Allows you to strikethrough selected text.
Click on the annotation to change its settings in the menu that appears.
Underline
Allows you to underline the selected text.
Click on the annotation to change its settings in the menu that appears.
Squiggle
Allows you to underline the selected text with a squiggle.
Click on the annotation to change its settings in the menu that appears.
Comment
Allows you to comment on the selected text.
The text to be commented on will be framed in blue and the comment window will appear on the right as follows:
Available options in the comment window
Bold
Allows you to bold the comment text.
Italic
Allows you to italicize the comment text.
Underline
Allows you to underline the comment text.
Text color
Allows you to select the color of the comment text.
Click on the arrow to display the text color menu.
The selected color will be applied to the comment text.
Fill color
Allows you to select the fill color of the comment text.
Click on the arrow to display the fill color menu.
The selected fill color will be applied to the comment text.
Add a link
Allows you to add a link in the comment.
Enter the link address.
Click on Add Link.
The link will be displayed in the comment as follows:
Help
Displays the Help window.
Notify an employee involved in the matter
Allows you to notify an employee who is listed as a caseworker in the matter.
Only employees added as caseworkers in the matter will be available for selection.
The notification will be displayed in the comment as follows:
Once the comment has been submitted, an email will be sent to the selected employee informing them that they have been mentioned in the document.
Submit the comment
Allows you to submit the comment.
Click this button to submit the comment.
Add a comment
Highlight the text that you want to comment on.
Enter your comment in the "Add your comment..." field.
Click the submit comment button once it is complete.
Once the comment has been submitted, the following information will be displayed:
A speech bubble icon at the end of the highlighted section
The comment window, which includes the name of the employee who added the comment, the date and time the comment was added, and the comment itself
Options for the first comment
Space to add a new comment
Add a comment to an existing comment
Select the comment. Then add the comment in the "Add your comment..." field below the first one.
The comments will be displayed as follows:
Modify a comment
Select the comment to modify. Then click on the three dots to display the menu.
Select Edit Content.
Make your changes and then click the Submit comment button.
The modified comment will be displayed.
If you want to cancel the modification of the comment, click on the X button.
Delete a comment
Select the comment to delete. Then click on the three dots to display the menu.
Select Delete Comment.
Click on Delete.
The comment will be deleted.
