Feature available for all editions of the software.

Before you begin: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.

Permission required to disconnect sessions

The "Sign out users" permission is required to perform the following actions.

Disconnect an inactive session

Step 1: Click on the Admin tab.

Step 2: Click on the Sessions tile in the Access management section.

Step 3: Select the session you want to disconnect, then click on the logout icon in the top right corner.

Step 4: The following message will appear. Click "Continue" to log the user out.

Result : The session is now freed up.

Note:

  • Only sessions opened from the web application and mobile application are counted toward the number of simultaneous connections.

  • It is not possible to disconnect yourself.

  • A 2-minute grace period applies when a user is disconnected by the administrator AND the maximum number of users in the system is reached. This allows a disconnected user who is actually active to maintain their connection.

Example:

  1. Jean is disconnected from the database by the administrator

  2. 30 seconds later, Gaston logs in

  3. 60 seconds later, Jean logs back in

  4. Result: Jean is admitted to the database and resumes his session. Gaston is disconnected
