Connection and simultaneous access

How does the number of access and the automatic logout work?

Each connection to JurisEvolution uses a user license from the JurisEvolution subscription.

For example, if a subscription to JurisEvolution includes 2 simultaneous accesses, these 2 accesses can be used in different ways by the same or several employees.

  1. By 2 employees connected simultaneously to JurisEvolution on the Web

  2. By 1 employee connected on the Web while a 2nd employee is connected to the mobile application.

  3. By the same employee who is connected both on the Web and on the JurisEvolution mobile application.

It is therefore important both for the security of the data contained in JurisEvolution and for access to the software to disconnect the session at the end of its use.

Manual disconnection

website

Step 1

User menu > Log out

Mobile app

Step 1

Option Menu > Red button Logout

Automatic disconnection time

website

If the user who has finished using JurisEvolution has not manually disconnected his session, it still uses simultaneous access preventing a colleague from connecting if the number of accesses is reached.

  • If the browser remained open..

The session will be inactive, but the license will not be released for another user to connect to JurisEvolution. The session will automatically expire after a maximum of 4 hours. This delay is configurable by the system administrator for all employees of the same database.

  • If the browser is closed (no more tab displays JurisEvolution) ..

When the browser is closed, the JurisEvolution session is not automatically disconnected. Session timeout applies. This delay is automatically and maximally 4 hours. It can be configured to a shorter duration by a database administrator.

Mobile app

If the user who has finished using the mobile application has not manually disconnected their session, it is possible that it is still using concurrent access preventing a colleague from connecting if the access count is reached.

  • If the app is left open...

If the app remained open, i.e. the user simply opened another app over it or locked their phone, the session remained connected. It will expire on its own after 4 hours of inactivity, i.e. after 4 hours when the mobile application has not been used.

  • If the app has been closed...

If the application is closed, ie it is not kept as an active application in the background on the phone, this will have the effect of a manual disconnection. The session will be available for another connection.
