Logging continues to evolve!

With the Actions Tracking module, JurisEvolution archives the history of actions taken by users on documents. Version 20.23.20 goes even further, adding actions on activities and detailing changes made.

In addition, a new "Logging history" management tile is now available through the Admin tab of the main interface.

In brief,

By document, the history is available through the viewing pane.

In the consultation window, only actions on this document are displayed. When available (there is a short delay before the history indexing is saved), changes are displayed in the viewing pane.

Add documents to a person's ID number while managing confidentiality.

Change login email address - More autonomy for the administrator.

A number of situations made it difficult or impossible for a JE user to change a connection e-mail address in a database when, for example, he no longer had access to the e-mail box of the previous address to receive the links relevant to the change.

You can still change your e-mail address yourself, but you must have access to your previous mailbox to receive the confirmation link.

  • Changes can be made via the employee matter or by accessing the employee profile via the main interface.

    • Email 2 - New address for confirmation purposes

An administrator (a user with a System Administrator profile) can now make the change for the user. One-step method - The user will receive the e-mail change confirmation link at their new e-mail address.

Trust account - Optimization of the individual account and the annual accounting report

The link between the particular trust account and its general trust account is established, and the data in the annual accounting report represents the information required by the Quebec Bar.

Billing draft invoice - Add status to projects in window360

Often, during the billing process, certain matters or invoices require more time to prepare. For this reason, it should be possible to manage statuses in the 360 billing window, according to the needs and reality of the practice, in order to pause certain billing projects. In this way, the user is always in control of what to include or exclude from batch invoicing.

Billing draft invoice - New permission to finalize (accept) an invoice

It is now possible for a user to have the right to prepare the entire invoice without being able to accept it. In this way, the person in charge of billing can retain greater control over the final draft invoice.

If you are entitled to do so, you can End the process and Accept the invoice.

If you do not have the right, you can End the process and Save the invoice.

(The saved invoice is automatically added to the draft invoice).

Creation of a new matter type - A separate permission is created for each matter type

The reality of a practice may mean that different matter types need to be created to meet different needs. For example, an employee using the Criminal law matter type does not need to have access to the other new matter types created from it. It is now possible to manage access rights separately in the Matter type grouping in profiles.

Matter - Custom section

In order to maximize the space allocated to a field in a custom section, the user can, in his configuration, apply the relevant space percentage to each item in the section.

(Coming soon in 20.23.34 - fall 2023) In addition, a new checkbox in the configuration allows you to make a field required. The asterisk (*) refers to this. The user cannot continue if the field is empty.

Permanent deletion - Process optimization

Active session - Delay before disconnection

When a user is connected to JurisEvolution but not using it, there is a maximum delay of 240 minutes (4 hours) before he is disconnected from his work session. Prior to update 20.23.20, this delay was calculated at the level of inactivity of the software's deep functions only.

This made it possible for the user's colleague (who had an active session but wasn't using the software) to connect to the software, thereby stealing the user's working session (as there were not enough licenses for everyone). From now on, navigation through the interface (using the keyboard and mouse) will be taken into account when calculating the delay to the last action.

Now it's the colleague trying to connect who gets the message that the number of simultaneous connections has been reached, if any, and not the person who is already connected to JurisEvolution (but busy with a long telephone conversation or editing a document, for example).

Signature project consignO Entreprise and Juris-Affaires 20

When initiating a signature project from the matter in JE, the user is directly redirected to the consignO sites without having to enter login details. In fact, the virtual assistant performs the connection for the user.


360 registered activities window - Batch editing

The ability to edit multiple activities simultaneously has been added to the registered activities window. This feature was already available in the 360 Activities window, but several customers mentioned the need for such a feature in the Registered Activities window, as the financial value is displayed there.

The problem of saving a document (being in a directory) by drag & drop is solved - The document is no longer duplicated.
