Connection for the integration with Office 365

How do you connect your Office 365 account to your employee matter?

Feature available for all editions of the software.

Before you begin: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.

If an employee wishes to use the features relating to the Office 365 integration - for example, time-entry support with AVA - they must link their Microsoft account to their employee matter.

Note: The Microsoft account login remains valid for approximately 90 days only. This is a security feature. You will need to repeat the following steps if the login has expired.

Follow the steps below to link the Microsoft account to the employee's matter.

Step 1: Click on the "Welcome Last name, First name" menu at the top right of the screen and select "Profile".

Step 2: Click on the "My employee matter" button.

Step 3: Scroll down the page to the "Office integration" section.

Step 4: Click on the "Connect a Microsoft account" button.

Step 5 : The window for signing in to your Microsoft account will open.

Note: You may be logged in automatically if you are already logged into your Microsoft account in your browser.

Step 6: Sign in using the email address linked to your Microsoft account.

Step 7: The permissions you grant to the AVA add-in will be displayed in the window. Then click "Accept" to grant the permissions to the AVA add-in.

Step 8: You will see the following message stating that the Microsoft account is signed in. Click Ok to close the window.

The connection details will be found under the "Office integration" section.

1. The email address for the signed-in Microsoft account

2. The date on which the connection was made

3. Button for sending a test email to verify the connection

4. Button to sign out of the connected Microsoft account

Result: The employee can now use the features that require a login to their Microsoft account.
