Feature available for all editions of the software.
Before you begin: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.
The sidebar displays various previews of the document.
Click on this button to display the sidebar.
Click on the arrow to display the different view options.
It is also possible to widen or narrow the section by selecting the bar and then moving it to the left or right.
Thumbnails view
The Thumbnails view displays a preview of the pages in the PDF file.
Selecting a page in the preview will display the same page of the file in the main window.
Outline view
The Outline view displays the outline of the PDF file.
By default, all menus will be expanded.
A downward-pointing arrow indicates that the items under their respective headings are displayed.
A right-pointing arrow indicates that the menu has been collapsed.
Click the arrow to toggle between collapsing and expanding the menu.
Annotations view in Read only mode
The Annotations view displays the notes that have been added to the document.
The following information is displayed:
The total number of annotations in the document
The pages where the notes are located
A preview of the note
The name of the person who added the note
The date the note was added
Clicking on a note in the preview will take you to its location in the document.
There are two ways to view the entire note:
By hovering over the note icon with your mouse.
By clicking on the note icon to display it. Then click on the X to close it.
Annotations view in Editor mode
The Annotations view displays the notes that have been added to the document.
The following information is displayed:
The total number of annotations in the document
The pages where the notes are located
A preview of the note
The name of the person who added the note
The date the note was added
Clicking on a note in the preview will take you to its location in the document and open it automatically.
You can make the following changes:
The color of the icon
The icon
The content of the note
Double-click on the note to edit its content.
Delete the note
Click on the trash can icon to delete the note.
Click on Delete.
Bookmarks view in Read only mode
The Bookmarks view displays the bookmarks of the document.
The following information is displayed:
The name of the bookmark
The page number where the bookmark is located
Clicking on a bookmark will immediately take you to the top of the page where the bookmark is located.
Bookmarks view in Editor mode
The Bookmarks view allows you to view, add, edit and delete bookmarks in the document.
The following information is displayed:
The name of the bookmark
The page number where the bookmark is located
Clicking on a bookmark will immediately take you to the top of the page where the bookmark is located.
Create a new bookmark
Go to the page of the document where you want to add a bookmark. Click on the + icon located at the bottom left of the menu.
A new bookmark will be created.
You can enter the name of the bookmark in the "Add Bookmark" field. If you do not enter anything, the word "Bookmark" will be used by default.
Change the name of the bookmark
Select the bookmark you want to edit. Then click on the pencil icon at the bottom of the menu. You can also double-click on the bookmark to edit it.
You can then change the name of the bookmark.
Delete a bookmark
Select the bookmark you want to delete. Click on the trash can icon at the bottom left.
Click on Delete.
Signatures view
The Signatures view displays the signatures that are present in the document.
If the file contains signatures, they will be displayed as follows:
Note : It is not possible to add signatures from the PDF viewer.
Layers view
The Layers view displays the layers in the document.
If the file contains layers, they will be displayed as follows:
Lock/Unlock a layer
Hover over the layer to reveal the small padlock icon. Click on the padlock to lock or unlock the layer.
