Before you begin: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.

It is common for an invoice to be addressed to more than one person (legal or individual) - in JurisÉvolution, we refer to these as "Payers".

They may be responsible for their respective share of the invoice or they may be jointly and severally liable for the total invoice.

Upon receipt of a payment made by a payer, it is possible to process it by distributing it simultaneously to the payer's share of the invoices in any matter.

Multiple payment is available by

  • The Finance tab / Family Collection of the main menu

  • The Finance tab / Family Collection of the legal matter (criminal law, family law, Opinion, etc.)

  • The Finance tab / Family Collection of the type matter Client

1. - Once the window is open, the user must search for the payer through the dedicated field.

  • The magnifying glass is available by passing the mouse

2. - The 360 Accounts Receivable by Payer window is displayed allowing the selection of the targeted payer

  • Filters and search are available to help the user

3.- Complete the fields to finish the payment

All unpaid invoices related to the payer are displayed regardless of the matter.

  • In our example, the invoices displayed have several payers, asterisks ( * ) are present at the invoice numbers for information purposes

  • This is a multiple payment for a payer, the Payer Balance column displays the amount assigned to the payer to pay.

Do not forget that a PAYER can also be a CLIENT and vice versa.

Always make sure to call the right interface because the software behavior is different and the results displayed can also be different.

Allocation to payers

Please note that once the collection is completed, a user with access profile rights can, if necessary, manually change the allocation automatically applied to payers in order to better respond to reality.

Find and access the payment targeted in the financial summary

Each invoice is displayed with the payment distributed to it.

Under each invoice, the payers are broken down with their respective allocation.

The amount can be modified as needed.
