Before you start: Please note that permissions to your access profile may be required to perform the following steps. We invite you to validate your access with your software administrator.

It is common for a client to have several matters in progress within the firm. In JurisEvolution, it is possible to invoice all of these matters simultaneously as it is possible to manage the payment received from the client by distributing it simultaneously to several invoices for the different matters.

Multiple payments are available through:

  • The Finance / Collection family tab of the main menu;

  • The Finance / Family tab Collection of the legal matter type (civil, criminal, family, etc.);

  • The Finance / Family tab Collection of the client type matter.

1. - Once the window is open, the user must search for the client in the dedicated field.

  • The magnifying glass is available by hovering the mouse.

2. - The 360 Accounts Receivable by Client window is displayed allowing the selection of the targeted client.

  • The filters and the search are available to help the user.

3 - Fill in the fields to complete the payment.

  • Since in our example, the invoices displayed have several payers, asterisks ( * ) are present at the invoice numbers for information purposes.

  • Since this is a multiple payment for a client, the Payer Balance column remains empty.

Do not forget that a client can be a payer and vice-versa.

Always make sure that you are in the right interface because the software's behavior is different and the results displayed may also be different.

What you need to know

In our example, the client pays his 2 invoices that have multi-payers.

Since the multi-payment for a customer does not consider the payers, a distribution of the payment is made to the payers in proportion to their respective obligation.

A warning message is displayed to the user.

Distribution to payers

Please note that once the payment is completed, a user with access profile rights can, if necessary, manually change the allocation automatically applied to the payers in order to better respond to reality.

Finding and accessing the payment covered by the financial summary.

In the payment window, the allocation of payers icon is located in the right-hand menu bar.

Each invoice is displayed with the payment distributed to it.

For a multiple payment having been made for A CLIENT

Under each invoice, the payers are broken down with their respective distribution.

The amount distributed can be modified as needed.
